Information you submit
When you use the extractor, the public Instagram URL is processed temporarily to retrieve available caption metadata. Instaustad does not intentionally store submitted captions or create user profiles from submitted links.
Technical logs
The server may record request time, a sanitized public URL, provider status, error details, response status and processing duration to diagnose reliability. Passwords, Instagram session cookies and authorization credentials should never be submitted and are not required.
Cookies and local storage
The core extractor does not require an account. Infrastructure providers may use essential cookies for security or delivery. If advertising or analytics is added, this policy and the consent experience must be updated before those services are enabled.
Google advertising
If Google advertising is introduced, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve or personalize ads based on visits to this and other sites. Visitors can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. This section does not mean advertisements are currently active.
Third-party requests
To perform an extraction, Instaustad communicates with publicly accessible Instagram or Meta endpoints and a local extraction provider. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
Retention and security
Diagnostic logs should be retained only as long as needed for troubleshooting and security. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may choose not to submit a link. For privacy questions or deletion requests concerning server logs, use the contact page and provide enough detail to locate the relevant request without sending credentials.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the service, hosting arrangement, analytics or advertising practices change.
